HOLIDAY ATMOSPHERE IN KASHUBIA

Kashubia: historically poor, rich now

For centuries it was the poorest region of those neighboring Gdansk. Very poor even. The role there was difficult because of its infertile soils known in addition to “give rise to stones” (the result of the glaciers that passed through here is a significant amount of stones in the underground soil). In addition, we must mention the steep slope of the terrain.

The landscape of Kashubia is charming: there are many forests and many lakes. Nowadays it is therefore a holiday destination.

Why visit Kashubia? To touch its culture, to know its rich tradition and to see a little of its multitude of lakes and forests, to know that the Kashubians have their own language… and yes, this is not a dialect, but a language (!).

The further from the metropolitan area of Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia, the whole is more pleasant. On the one hand there are so many hills that tourists who came here in the 19th century called the central part of Kashubia, the Kashubian Switzerland.
